5G of plastic in our food!

Here at UKVending we were shocked when we discovered a fact about plastic in everyday food. As a member of the Rainforest Alliance UKVending works hard to reduce our impact on the environment and we have taken measures to ensure our carbon footprint is as low as it can possibly be, others may not be so environmentally conscious.

The startling fact we discovered is that every week most of us, in our daily lives, consume around 5g of plastic in our diet every single week. This could be in the form of microplastics that have found their way into the food chain.

To give that 5g some perspective it is about the same weight as eating a credit card every single week!
