83 percent of American’s use coffee to be productive
America’s National Automatic Merchandising Association conducted a survey that found 83 percent of American workers said coffee makes them more productive during the workday. Additionally, the survey showed that consumers drink more coffee at work due to the convenience, the savings and the need to stay awake.
It also found that workers aged 18 to 34 were more likely to drink coffee on the job if they could use single-cup brewers, choose different flavours and blends, and make espresso.
Further, nurses are the professionals who rely most heavily on coffee, followed by physicians, hotel workers, architects and designers and financial/insurance sales representatives. NAMA also discovered that coffee service professionals deliver more than 2.2 million gallons of coffee to U.S. workplaces every year.
