Coffee and gallstones…the good news!
A recent study into the medical benefits of drinking more coffee in a daily diet had a somewhat surprising result. Drinking more coffee might just be able to reduce the risk of certain people developing painful and sometimes debilitating gallstones.
104,493 people took part in the research. They all drank more than six cups of coffee per day, and it was discovered that they had a 23 per cent lower risk of developing symptomatic gallstones compared to others who drank no coffee at all. Even an extra cup of coffee per day could provide a 3 per cent improvement.
