Dogs on cans
Here’s a good idea from the United States. With the ever-increasing number of homeless dogs in America one enterprising brewing firm in Florida, Motorworks Brewing is helping shelter dogs get adopted by putting their faces on the side of their beer cans available in vending machines.
Barry Elwonger, Motorworks Brewing director of sales and marketing said: “To commemorate the first can-run of our Cruiser golden lager, we put four adoptable dogs and onto the cans to raise awareness for the shelter and money for the shelter as well,”
Each can have a picture of the dog and says a little something about them. MCAS says the publicity is a huge help because right now they’re at nearly twice their capacity.
The shelter takes in 15-20 animals every day and is running out of space, which is why all the proceeds from the sale of these special cans is going to help build a new larger shelter for Florida’s dogs.
I wonder if this idea could be used to help house dogs and cats in the United Kingdom.
