Drinking coffee may keep type 2 diabetes at bay
Here at UKVending we are always pleased when clients ask us about our high quality and delicious tasting coffee range but few ask us about the health benefits of drinking coffee, perhaps they should as the latest research published in the journal Nutrition, Metabolism and Cardiovascular Diseases shows that drinking coffee may actually help ward off the worst effects of Type 2 diabetes.
The research carried out in Iran over the last six years and involving 4,000 adults discovered a lower percentage of the disease in coffee drinkers than those who never drink coffee. The researchers have concluded that there must be a beneficial affect in how the body processes caffeine in the coffee. However, the final conclusions have yet to be made as there are a number of other compounds found in coffee that may also have a contributory factor in the test results.
