Driving vending machine technology forward
Here at UKVending we think of ourselves as forward looking and innovative. We bring you the latest technological developments as soon as they are available together with the best customer service in the market. So we had to step back and admire the audacity of a car dealership in Glasgow who has made buying a new car into something of an art form and to cap it all they have used vending machine technology to deliver the new vehicles to their excited new owners.
Yes, vending machines delivering cars. It’s brilliant.
The eight storey car showroom can be found near to the M8 in Glasgow near to the community of Cowcaddens. Macklin Motors Nissan usually has around thirty vehicles available in their ‘car vending machine tower’.
For the customers it isn’t just a case of sitting in a comfortable waiting room whilst a salesperson brings your car around to the forecourt. Oh no. For customers at this particular car dealership it is a spectacle. They sit and watch as technology selects their car and they can see it descend from the tower and delivered to them.
“When customers come to pick up their car, they love to see it come down the tower. Picking up a new vehicle is always exciting and the tower adds a little bit more magic to it,” said Robert Auld, General Manager of Macklin Motors Nissan Glasgow Central.
