Eat up your coffee cup!

Remember the old adage to always take you rubbish home, well now when you go to the football match at Manchester City you really do, because you’ve already eaten it and drunk your coffee too.

Manchester United FC along with a number of other leading venues are starting to take advantage of a new innovation in edible coffee cups. At many recent games staged at the grounds the amount of rubbish left in the stands has been considerably reduced by the introduction of these edible coffee cups made by a new start-up company called BioBite based in Scotland. What’s more the cups are vegan friendly too and resistant to hot and cold drinks and stay crisp for up to 40 minutes, way after most hot drinks have gone cold.
