Filtered coffee may help in fight against diabetes
Drinking filtered coffee could cut your risk of type 2 diabetes by 60% because ‘the papers may catch molecules that can affect your blood sugar levels
Swedish people have been known for drinking filtered coffee for decades, and now it seems that their love of filtered coffee has rewarded them with a new medical discovery. 842 Swedes’ diets were studied by scientists for seven years who discovered that those who drank filtered coffee regularly had a lower level of potential diabetes. The scientists determined that the filter paper removes molecules called diterpenes, that affect a person’s blood sugar levels, from the boiled water. Sweden was chosen for the study because the country has one of the highest levels of coffee consumption in the world.
