Good news for tea fans

Here at UKVending we love to bring you good news about the products that we supply from our range of vending machines. So when this nugget of good news came across our desks we immediately wanted to post it online.

Drinking tea is good for you. Well we already knew that of course, but new scientific studies have indicated that in addition to all the well established medical benefits of drinking tea such as reducing stress, increased mental dexterity and warding off a number of diseases it has now been found that drinking tea is as good as water itself to hydrate the human body.

According to a clinical study recently conducted by the Tea Advisory Panel (TAP) if you drink four cups of tea per day it has the same effect as the equivalent amount of water.

We are constantly being reminded by health professionals to keep ourselves hydrated to keep ourselves healthy particularly so for people who are in often air conditioned offices and workplaces where the atmosphere can rob us of our natural hydration levels.

The Tea Advisory Panel went further with Dr Catherine Hood stating: “A growing number of scientific studies have demonstrated that tea can be useful in keeping the body in good condition, thanks to its high polyphenol content. polyphenols have antioxidant effects and help maintain normal vascular function. This is why many studies have linked regular tea consumption with a lower risk of heart disease and stroke.”
