Men suffering with hair loss take note, tea is good for your hair, particularly green tea.
Green tea has long been associated with several health-giving properties including weight loss now pioneering research has concluded that drinking green tea can also help with hair loss problems too.
Green tea has a compound within its leaves called Epigallocatechin gallate, or EGCG for short, that is linked to its healthy reputation. Hair loss has many causes not least heredity, genes and stress so in making the claims that EGCG can help lessen the effects is a bold statement to make.
The study undertaken by the US National Library of Medicine National Institute of Health showed that participates in the research when given a supplement containing green tea extract showed an 80 percent improvement in hair growth and distribution on their heads than not using it. Furthermore, separate research has shown that EGGCs stimulate hair follicles and strengthened existing hair cells preventing further damage. Moreover, the scientists have claimed that EGGCs may even inhibit the body’s natural hormones that force hair loss in the first place.
So, when you’re drinking your next cup of refreshing green tea remember it is doing you good inside and out.
