How much coffee do you drink in a year?
You may think you’ve got your coffee habit under control but some people truly love the sweet and tasty beverage because annually here in the United Kingdom us coffee drinkers guzzle down 676 cups of coffee each and every year.
Research into the nation’s coffee drinking habits has revealed the extent of our caffeine craving with the average adult sipping from 10 cups of instant coffee a week.
A further three hot drinks will be bought in a cafe or a coffee shop.
That will see us part with £303 on a cuppa.
Newcastle, Belfast and Southampton are home to the biggest coffee fans.
The study found a latte is the cuppa of choice for 23 percent of us, while one in five prefer a cappuccino.
The mighty flat white is the preferred cuppa for one in seven of us, and one in five will go for the Americano.
10 percent of us would even describe ourselves as ‘coffee addicts’, and more than a third of us wouldn’t trust someone else to make them a hot drink in case they don’t like it exactly how they like it.
The good news is that 36 percent of us have invested in a reusable cup which we take on the go with us to cut down on wasted cups.
