International Coffee Day 2019
Today is International Coffee Day around the world, and this year the organisers have decided on the theme: Women in Coffee.
The International Coffee Day 2018 celebrations around the world exceeded expectations and there are plenty of events still taking place!
This year, the ICO and its 77 Member States recognized in particular the role of women in coffee. The theme was chosen as this year’s thematic focus because of the growing importance of women across the coffee value chain and to promote the empowerment of women to achieve gender equality and to increase productivity, supply and sustainable consumption, particularly in a climate of low prices.
