International Tea Day
On behalf of all of us at UKVending welcome to International Tea Day.

Yes, there really is an International Day that celebrates the world of tea production, brewing and, of course, consumption too. The day was first founded on 15 December 2005 in New Delhi as a way to foster an awareness of the work carried out by tea workers in India as well as the conditions they work under, which can sometimes be extremely hard and arduous.
Since 2005 a large number of tea producing countries around the globe have joined the movement including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Malawi.
The day is both a celebration of tea as well as highlighting some of the issues faced by the global industry. Some of these include the right of tea workers to housing rights, decent wages, medical care and basic sanitation and education.
