KNORR CHICKEN SOUP
This month we’d like to introduce you to a new product in the UKVending range; Knorr Chicken Soup. This super tasty and satisfying soup is a delicious meal available from our range of vending machines.
The Knorr Company has a very long and interesting history. Started way back in 1838 by German Carl Heinrich Knorr in the city of Heilbronn the company was founded supplying chicory to the local coffee industry in the city. Always an innovator Knorr experimented with drying vegetable and seasonings with the aim to try and capture and keep the natural flavours and nutrients of the crops for as long as possible. These experiments led him to launch the very first Knorr dried soups across Europe in 1873.
Over the coming years Knorr introduced a wide variety of soups, sauces and in 1912 the world famous Knorr Bouillon Cube, (latterly known as Knorr Stock Cube) was launched. In 1949 the Stock Cube was launched in the United Kingdom alongside a range of flavoursome soups including Chicken Soup. Such was the demand that the company built a new factory in Welwyn Garden City and also saw the introduction of a huge range of products including Oxtail, Tomato, Beef and Onion and Golden Vegetable varieties.
In 2000 Knorr joined the Unilever brand of companies and saw a staggering 41 new products launched that year. Throughout the 21st Century Knorr has been at the forefront of efficient and sustainable food production and sources all of its products responsibly.
All of Knorr’s products are available around the globe and all still carry the iconic signature of Carl Heinrich Knorr, founder and creator of great tasting foods.
