Latte: Officially Britain’s favourite coffee

In a recent survey thousands of Briton’s were asked to name their favourite type of coffee and the answer came back overwhelming as Lattes. The research undertaken by the fast food giant McDonalds found that Lattes topped the list of Britain’s favourite coffees followed by cappuccinos, flat white, Americano (Black) and Americano (White). Mocha was pushed into 6th position in the top ten with Espresso, Filter (White), Filter (Black) and Double espresso (Doppio) rounding out the numbers.

The study also found that 49 per cent of the respondents said that they ‘didn’t feel human’ in the mornings until they had their first coffee. Nearly two fifths described themselves as ‘true coffee lovers’ but 9 per cent took the opportunity to claim to be ‘full on caffeine addicts’.

One thing that became apparent through the research is that we all like our coffee’s to be just right. They need to be so perfect that about a third of people asked will not let anyone else make their coffees. They don’t trust friends, families or colleagues to make it.
