Latte tops the poll
When it comes to how we like our coffees, we Brits are quite a fussy lot according to a recent survey. The study spoke to 2,000 coffee drinkers and discovered that the favourite type of coffee was a latte, containing the requisite single shot of coffee, steamed milk and a frothy top. 38 per cent of the 2000 respondents said they liked their coffee this way the most.
65 per cent, almost two-thirds, however, stated that they were very particular in how their coffee should be served. They also stated that there was a special technique and combination of ingredients to make their beloved cup of coffee. So much so that 35 per cent of those polled said that if it wasn’t prepared exactly the way they liked it – there was not a chance that they would drink it.
At the bottom end of the results only 14 per cent liked an espresso.
