Let’s plant a million trees

UKVending stocks a wide range of Yorkshire Tea’s. We work with lots of organisations that preserve and enhance the natural environment and Taylors of Harrogate, owners of Yorkshire Tea is one of these. In the case of Yorkshire Teas it’s all about trees, millions of trees.

They have set a very ambitious target to plant a million new trees across the United Kingdom over five years. The company has joined forces with the national charity The Woodland Trust as well as hundreds of children from schools up and down the country to plant these life giving and enhancing plants. Yorkshire Tea’s efforts, however, are not restricted to just here in the United Kingdom because the scheme has also been extended to include areas of Kenya where much of the tea used in Yorkshire Tea is grown.

The company’s commitment to planting trees comes from the knowledge that wood from across the globe goes into making paper used in the tea bags and in the cardboard used for the boxes. The new trees replace those cut down to make these products.
