Model boats and coffee?
If you’re scratching your head and trying to come up with a solution well it’s a little more complicated than model boaters enjoy a cup of delicious tea or coffee in their Thermos flasks as they watch their creations sail around the lakes and ponds of the United Kingdom.
Here at UKVending we have stumbled upon a link that we could never have even dreamt of. Talking to Barrie Stevens, Editor of Marine Modelling International recently I told him of my work here at UKVending and their splendid choice of the latest Flavia 500 Creation vending machines. “Ah yes, I’ll tell you something about vending machines,” Barrie began. “I visited one of our advertisers recently, he makes plastic mouldings for the model boat industry, such things as miniature funnels, gun turrets, fenders and the like, but he also makes hundreds and thousands of propellers. There were literally thousands of these propellers everywhere. I asked him; ‘have you made too many propellers’? No, he said. It’s a nice little sideline we’ve got going on. They’re used inside coffee vending machines as stirrers.”
So when you next go to one of UKVending’s coffee machines spare a thought for the little plastic moulding that is whirring away inside to blend your perfectly brewed and delivered beverage.
