One hump or two for your milk?

Cow’s milk, goat milk, sheep milk, oat milk, cashew milk, you name it you’ve probably tried every kind of milk out there. But there is a new one that you may not have just yet tried. Camel milk.

There has been growing demand for shops, such as Aldi, to stock Camel milk, which has been used across Africa and the Middle East for centuries. The demands come as the cost of producing and selling dairy milk has grown steadily throughout the cost-of- living crisis, in many cases cow’s milk is considerably more expensive that plant based or alternatives.

There are also several health benefits of drinking camel milk. Firstly, it doesn’t taste very much different from normal diary milk plus it is suitable for those with lactose intolerances, it’s rich in Vitamin C and it has a lot of immunity boosting and medicinal properties too.

So, perhaps in the not-too-distant future you may well be reaching for the camel milk to put into your coffee or tea.
