In a study of more than 3,000 people in their 50s who were monitored whether or not they ate wholegrains and porridge oats researchers discovered some interesting results. Those who ate three servings of whole grains a day kept an extra two inches off their waist over 18 years. They also had considerably lower blood pressure and sugar levels too.
