That’s one small snack for a man…

Astronauts could soon be feasting on freshly baked space cakes thanks to a prototype oven being developed for upcoming space missions by NASA.
The purpose built cooker is the work of NanoRacks in partnership with Zero G Kitchen, a company that creates appliances for microgravity use in long haul space flights.
It is believed that one of the very first aromas from the very first baked goods made in space could be chocolate chip cookies.
One thing that the developers of the space oven have yet to overcome is the effect zero gravity has on food. In space it is quite likely that the cookie won’t crumble but it could easily take on a cylindrical shape instead.
