Today is International Coffee Day

Most of us don’t need an excuse to enjoy the wonderful aromas and the delicate taste combinations of our favourite blend of coffee, but when we’re presented with a celebration of all things coffee we all usually take part don’t we. Well, today is International Coffee Day and we’ve been celebrating on this day since 2015.

International Coffee Day is an occasion that is used to promote and celebrate coffee as a beverage, with events now occurring in places across the world. The first official date was 1 October 2015, as agreed by then International Coffee Organization and was launched in Milan. This day is also used to promote fair trade coffee and to raise awareness for the plight of the coffee growers.

So raise a cup of your favourite coffee and praise the work of all those who’s efforts have made it possible for you to enjoy your coffee.
