UK COFFEE WEEK 2017
At UKVending we are a company that prides itself on our environmental viewpoint and we source all our products from ethical and environmentally sound producers, so we are delighted to see the return of UK Coffee Week from 10 April. What’s more it’s a great way for you to make a difference too, how?
Thousands of coffee shops across the country have signed up to UK Coffee Week this year ranging from the smallest shop on the corner of your street to the largest chains such as Caffe Nero, Starbucks and Debenhams. Coffee is one of the world’s most important crops after all over 500 billion cups of coffee are drunk every year worldwide. UK Coffee Week will benefit Project Waterfall, an initiative that will bring clean water facilities to the coffee growing communities around the globe.
Project Waterfall’s aims are simple: water is an intrinsic part of the coffee growing process; after all it takes 140 litres of the stuff to produce a single cup of coffee. It is also vital to the health and wellbeing of the farmers who grow the coffee beans. 663 million people around the world don’t have access to clean, safe water supplies and Project Waterfall is trying to improve that figure. That is where you and your cup of coffee come in.
When you buy your cup of coffee make a 5pence donation to the project and 100 percent of it will go to the cause. You can help Project Waterfall by signing up your coffee shop, pub, school or restaurant to take part in UK Coffee Week 2017
