UK Vending joins forces with Zupplychain in on-demand warehousing revolution.

Zupplychain is an online marketplace that allows companies looking for pallet storage to search available warehouses for the ideal provider and agree an immediate storage solution.

Chris Hopkinson, the founder, has over 30 years of experience in manufacturing and distribution and, as such, had seen his fair share of space and stock fluctuations.

And it was these peaks and troughs that led him to envisage a networked solution, where half-empty warehouses can connect quickly and efficiently with last-minute third party storage requirements when dealing with a temporary stock surge. Moreover, he saw that depending on seasonal variations, a provider of space could at a later date become a customer (and vica versa).

This collaborative approach has in recent years seen great success with peer-to-peer websites such as Airbnb and Uber and it was the growth of these shared economy models that showed Chris the technology had caught up with his vision. Zupplychain is the result – joining different partners in the logistics market together for mutual benefit.
