Vending machines bring happiness?
Since the beginning of the current Covid-19 pandemic people have been wary to get too close to one another and communication between people is at an all time low. One innovative Japanese company has decided to let vending machines be the catalyst to get people talking to one another again.
Suntory Beverage and Food Ltd has developed a vending machine that will actively encourage employees wherever the machines are located to chat to one another and enliven the workplace. Each machine will vend two free drinks when two employees scan their ID cards on the machine at the same time.
The cost of the drinks will be covered by the employers who can easily when or not to vend free drinks and how many each employee can have each day. So far, companies that have introduced these vending machines have seen a marked increase in human communication and a corresponding increase in morale and productivity.
