Wash your coffee cup

Generally speaking, the better the cup, the better the taste of the drink within it. For best possible taste is always to be had with a good quality porcelain coffee mug. They hold the heat for longer which in turn preserves the flavour. Environmentally, they are great too because after a quick rinse they’re good to go again for literally thousands of more cups of coffee.

Which leads me onto another point. Do wash you cup. Those rings around the cup where the previous drinks have left their mark, they also leave behind taste molecules and oils which will increasingly alter the taste you experience. Do avoid, simply wash the cup after each and every use.

If you’re using a travel mug, the best types are the stainless steel ones both because they retain the heat and also unlike porcelain ones they are less likely to be damaged or break due to unforeseen accidents.
