What is an Espresso?
Espresso is both a coffee beverage and a brewing method. It is not a specific bean. It has also come to
mean a darker roast for some companies, i.e. “espresso roast” though technically you can use any bean, at
any roast level, to brew espresso.
Espresso is a concentrated, thick coffee beverage with a layer of dense foam (crema) created with a
machine that forces hot water through a basket of tightly packed, finely-ground coffee for a limited amount
of time at very high pressure. It is not simply a small cup of strong coffee!
UK Vending Ltd is introducing via the new FLAVIA® Barista authentic espresso. Flavia Barista will be the only
single-serve option to produce coffees, teas, lattes, cappuccinos, hot chocolates and true espressos.
