Winnie the Pooh likes honey, right?

Today is National Winnie the Pooh day, which got us here at UKVending thinking about the loveable bear and his chums having their adventures in Hundred Acre Wood. AA Milne the creator of Pooh knew that his character loved honey and we wondered what are the benefits of changing sugar for honey in our tea and coffee?

Firstly, honey is mostly comprised of sugar so there is really no calorific difference between using honey or sugar in your beverages, but honey is a natural product so does have some residual health benefits from having trace amounts of vitamins, minerals and other health giving ingredients that the sugar making process has stripped away.

Unlike sugar, honey has a taste, that’s why we love it so much spread on our breakfast toast after all. If you put it in your tea or coffee it can alter the taste of your drink too. Some people like the difference others don’t.
