WORLD TEA EXPO
Usually what goes on in Las Vegas, stays in Las Vegas, but not so when it comes to the World Tea Expo which was staged there in June.
With over 260 exhibitors from across the globe the exhibition highlighted the latest developments in the world of tea to nearly 4,000 delegates at the Las Vegas Convention Centre.
New blends of tea, brewing accessories and industry experts all vied for the spotlight during the three day event that also included the World Tea Awards and the Global tea Championship Winner’s Tasting Circle.
According to Brian Keating, a World Tea Expo Advisory Board member, “World Tea Expo 2017 was a vibrant blend of exhibiting tea ventures and attendees from all over the world. Amongst hundreds of booths were an endless array of exotic teas and brewing accessories. Buzz on the show floor echoed the voices of a thirsty consumer population receptive to ‘all things tea’ in their escalating search for tasty, healthy beverage options.”
The World Tea Expo was also an opportunity to embrace the wide variety of teas available throughout the globe and to celebrate many of the worlds’ leading players in the industry with Sri Lanka celebrating their 150th anniversary of supplying tea to the global marketplace.
